Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha got the season off to a solid start at the opening round at Oulton Park over the Bank Holiday weekend. Overcoming the usual ‘new bike’ teething problems for both team and riders at round 1, Rory Skinner [7-8-6] and Danny Kent [16-14-12] are now looking forward to Donington Park, May 15-17th.
STEVE PLATER – RACE TEAM MANAGER
“It’s been good to see progression all weekend long, at a track that wouldn’t be the favourite of either rider. A strong final result will give Rory a lot of confidence and although Danny’s not had the strongest weekend, he’s improved by a couple of places in each race. I’m confident Donington will see us closer to the sharp end.”

RORY SKINNER – #11
“I’m really happy with the progress I made this weekend. I would say it’s the Achilles Heel of the calendar coming here for me, so to come away with three finishes, which I haven’t always done at Oulton Park, I’m very pleased with that. We made improvements all weekend and I set my personal best lap also at the circuit, so we now move onto Donington Park – a circuit that I feel really good at.”

DANNY KENT – #52
“It wasn’t the start I was expecting if I’m honest. I’ve settled in well with the team and am very happy to be here, but Oulton has proved a difficult task. Not a circuit I would class as my strongest, but we made progress even if it was at the lower end of the points. It’s a long season and like Rory, I’m looking forward to Donington, to show the Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha in a much higher position.”
